The simulcast carried on after Act III Telecasting merged with Abry Telecast Partners in 1995. That September Fox attained longtime ABC associate WXLV channel 45. The station originally acquired this from New World Communications, along with WXLV. WNRW and WGGT exchanged the associations with WXLV. They later became the Triad’s ABC associates while all Fox production went to WGHP. WXLV News became the only channel involved in the Fox-New World contract to carry the block. Other channels in the same deal backed off to carry the block.
