The channel was WLUK FOX on channel 11. Walker sold the channel to Morgan Murphy Channels in 1958. Later in 1959, the channel altered its city of permit to the city and on August 22 reformed its call sign to the current WLUK FOX News. It started telecasting at full power from a new tower near Wisconsin. The WLUK FOX also switched associations with WFRV-TV. It later became an ABC associate. WLUK FOX News’s first telecast network show was in color in 1959. The regional shows started to be telecast-ed in color starting in 1965. Morgan Murphy then sold WLUK FOX News to Post Corporation.
It was a small media series not associated with The Washington Post Company or its Post-Newsweek Channels division. In 1966, WLUK FOX constructed a new office and office building on Highland Avenue.
