WGBA NBC which took chance for channel co-founder Lyle R. Evans, wanted to be functional as early as December 1977. In 1985, it was taken on board by Family Group Telecasting Incorporated for only pennies on the dollar. The WGBA NBC, then known on-air as “TV 26”, was well known in its initial years for children’s show host “Cuddles the Clown”.
